A true Vintners Hotel and exceptional experience from the working winery to the excellent cuisine and well appointed living quarters. The proprietor is amazing, not only a talented winemaker but also a hotelier par exelante who serves fine cuisine with his superb wines. I rarely find such an amazing combination in my travels and I rarely post 5 stars.

I was looking for a place that had wine tasting and food while my brother was here with his family and this place was absolutely perfect! I had to call three days in a row and beg for a reservation because they were completely booked out and full. But the owner accepted the four of us and it was just unbelievably good.

Second that
Looking for a place to sleep for one night, we found this winery on Booking. It's grape harvest everywhere right now and we're cycling along the Main/Rhine/Moselle and it was great to spend the night in a winery.
The boss and his wife are very, very nice. The boss even gave us a small lead. Both were very accommodating.
The room was very large and comfortable and the breakfast was great. All wishes were taken into account.
We can only recommend the Winzerhof.

Arrive, feel good, enjoy is the first sentence on the Gietzen family website. That sums up our stay exactly. Everything is made with special care: from the rooms, the backpack in the wardrobe to the lovingly and attractively decorated cold cuts plate at breakfast. The warmth of the entire staff is a delight at every encounter, whether in the hallway or in the restaurant. We are already looking forward to our next stay.
One of the best winemakers in the Moselle. Great wines! Lovingly designed inner courtyard. Quaint, stylish interiors that are great for family gatherings.
Very good regional cuisine that also offers smart food.
We have been absolute fans ever since we arrived at the Winzerhof in autumn 2011, thirsty and exhausted after a hike on the dream path, and were provided with delicious drinks by the Gietzen family (even though it was actually closed!). We were even allowed to sit on the wedding bench that still existed at the time, under a wonderfully blooming wisteria. In 2013 we were able to celebrate our wedding there. So much for the wedding bench! Since then we have been friends with this wonderful, small but fine winery and the Gietzen family and regularly supply each other with delicious wines. The wines are of outstanding quality and the prices are absolutely reasonable considering how much work and passion goes into them. I would particularly like to highlight the winemaker's sparkling wine, which is produced traditionally and clearly wins any comparison with a very, very good champagne.
The dishes that Ms. Gietzen and her kitchen team conjure up are all freshly prepared with regional and seasonal ingredients, are all very tasty and the plates are lovingly prepared.
If it were possible to award 10 points here, I would give 10 points*.
